Taylor, Hibbard, Pages 287 and 288 Isaac Taylor To | Deed John & H. Hibbard This indenture made and entered into this 20" day of August 1835 between Isaac Taylor and Rhody his wife of the County of Laurel and State of Kentucky of the one part and John & Hiram Hibbard of the County of Clay & state of Kentucky of the other part witnesseth that the said Isaac Taylor and Rhody Taylor his wife has this day granted bargaind and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell to the said John and Hiram Hibbard a certain tract tract or parcel of land situated in Clay County on Goose a branch of the Kentucky river for the consideration of two thousand Dollars to them in hand paid and secured to be paid the above tract containing about Sixty acres be the same or less and bound as followes towit: Beginning at a berch and white setnup in a line of a three hundred acre survey made in the name of Andrew Brdley assignee of Ezekial Smith thence South nine East forty poles to a sugar tree thence South twenty East thence, this line to be continued until it strikes a line of a 200 acre survey made in the name of William Johses thence with the said Johnses line until said line strikes gop Creek thence down said creek with said creek with its meanders until it strikes a line runs by Wilie Hibbard Deputy Surveyor in laying off the tract bought by Wilson and Inarries of Jabel Smith one of the heirs of Thomas Smith deed and run by Isaac Taylor and said Wilson and Inarries just below the salt well and now occupied by the said John & Hiram Hibbard thence with lines of Wilson & Inarries passing just below said well leasing said salt well in this tract of land and with said Wilson & Inarries line until it strikes the line first called for in this deed about five poles from the begining as called in this deed to the east also one other tract of land situated in Clay County adjoining the before mentioned tract on the north east side being the one half of the one hundred acres pattent to Thomas Smith and Hugh White and same has been divided now we Isaac Taylor and Rhody Taylor his wife do hereby convey all our right title and interest to the above tract of land supposed to be about one hundred and fifteen acres in both tracts the above boundary was pattented to Thomas Smith in his life time and at his death decended to his heirs and Rhody Taylor late Rhody Smith being one of his heirs inherited one tenth part of said land and sence the death of said Thomas Smith the said Isaac Taylor and Rhody his wife purchased from all the balance of the heirs except Jabel Smith and he sold his interest in said land to Wilson & Inarries before mentioned now we Isaac Taylor and Rhody his wife do by these presents convey to said John and Hiram all the right title and interest which desended to us from Thomas Smith deed and from all the heirs from whom we purchased being eight in number both in low and equity and do warrant and defend said land from the claims of our selves our heirs and all & every person or persons claiming through or by us to the said John & Hiram Hibbard but if the said Hibbard should lose the before mentioned land by any other or better claim or any part there of the said Isaac Taylor and Rhody his wife is not to make it good but the said John & Hiram Hibbard is title to pay them the $2000.00 in witness where of we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written Isaac Taylor (Seal) Witness Radford Richerson Rhody Taylor (Seal) J Gilbert.
