Becknell, Dr.  W. E. 
Manchester,  KY – Dr. W. E. Becknell, 96, passed away Saturday morning at 
Memorial  Hospital.  He is survived by two  sons and a daughter, Dr. Bill 
Becknell of Moscow, Russia, John Thomas Becknell  and Nancy Rita Hopkins, both of 
Manchester.  He is also survived by eight  grandchildren; four great 
grandchildren; three nephews; and three nieces.  Funeral services for Dr. Becknell will  
be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Manchester Community Church, with the  
Rev. Ken Bolin, John Thomas Becknell and the Rev. Buck Ryan officiating.  
Burial will follow in the Manchester  Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of  flowers, the 
family requests that contributions be made to Agape of Manchester  or to Life 
Line of Manchester at 1 Fayette Properties, 1-C Manchester, KY  40962.  
Britton Funeral Home Chapel  is in charge of arrangements.  Booneville Sentinel 
October 4,  2007.
