Zephaniah WOOLSEY showed a written list containing 6 charges against Denton (listed - calling a meeting, denying it, re state- ments against or abt Stockton Valley Association, for bringing a charge agaisnt CROUCH, not turning in a letter of dismission, cited Rice MAXEY, for saying John WHITSON was a bad man. To be continued. Several charges laid over until next meeting. Charge against CROUCH (Sr), Denton admits charge 6 and church to bear with him. Discussed reproaching Benjamin RUSH where he was charged with lying and James CROUCH Jr. Confusing issue... Feb - Everything laid over until next month. Mar - Porter REGAN moderator. Church to strike out the "caption" in the minutes against Isaac DENTON. Acquits DENTON of the charge. Acquitted of charge #4. Rice MAXEY prefers charge against James CROUCH Jr for publicly denying the truth of statements made. Apr - Wm CROSS, moderator. Agrees to bear with CROUCh Jr who moved ford a reconciliation in the charges against him . May - Z WOOLSEY made motion and the church agrees to rescind her act at the last meeting in relation to the reconsideration of the Oct meeting. Decided to exclude James CROUCH Jr, James CROUCH Sr, Lewis WRIGHT, Jacob SPECK. Jun - Z WOOLSEY let the church know he is dissatisfied with the church on account of her acts in the above problem and with the exclusions. WOOLSEY excluded! Washington HOPKINS & Wm WOOD, Anna WOOD, Mary WOOD, Elizabeth WRIGHT, Celia CAMERON, Anna DEWEESE, Anna WOOLSEY, Nancy SPECK and Adam MEANS charged to next meeting to see why they didn't attend this meting. Wm WOOD & Washington HOPKINS appt to demand James CROUCh Jr turn in his ordination credentials. Recvd by recantation Josiah BECKETT. Jane WILLIAMS recvd by letter. Jul - Wm THRASHER recvd by recantation. Anna DEWEESE came forward and gave satisfaction. Mary WOOD, Elizabeth WRIGHT, Celia CAMERON, Anna WOOLSEY, Nancy SPECK & Adam MEANS excluded. CROUCH Jr refused to turn in his ordination papers - to be noted in the Associational minutes. Wm BERTRAM demanded to havae a written license to preach. Joe, a man of color, Sally SPECK, Polley JONES, Mahaly FORGERSON all excluded for absenting themselves. Charge to be presented against Wm CROSS, a member of the 76 Church because of statements he made about the previous meetings and treating the church with contempt. Aug - Alexander SMITH died this year. Anna WOOD excluded for attaching herself to members who had been excluded. Sep - Sally MARSH died since the last church meeting. Betsey BERTRAM grandted letter of dismission. Received by experience ___ MYERS. Oct - Recvd by letter of recommendation Randal LAWSON and wife Susannah; by experience Mizzana WOOD, NellyWOOD and Randolph LAWSON.
