CROFT, 71, were conducted last Wednesday afternoon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Dempsey officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Stricken while working in the field last Tues. morning, he died at his home within a short time afterward. Born in Pope Co, IL, Mr. Croft removed to Crittenden at the age of 13. His entire life was devoted to farming and he was one of the most prominent advocates of advanced agriculture in this section. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, formerly Josie A. BEBOUT; 8 sons, Herman, Earl, Rhea and Vernon, of the county, Dee, Loyd, Reed and Oether, Livigston Co; 4 daughters, Mrs. Chester Robertson, Mrs. Orville McKinney, county, Mrs. John Milligan of Sturgis, and Miss Ona Croft of Salem; two brothers, Willie and John, both of Crittenden Co; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lula Johnson of Clay, Mrs. Anda Cooper of Salem and Mrs. T.D.
