Jan  Polly HARRIS who had received a letter of dismission and moved
       to a distant part is living in disorder - Harden WILLIAMS and
       Henry SMITH to go see her and check out.
Feb  Polly HARRIS excluded - she had joined a different "society".
        Samuel HOPKINS Jr charged to act more cautiously in the
        future. Thomas SCOTT to see Samuel SCOTT and bring report
Mar  Scott's case continued
Apr  Scott's case continued. James WOOD acknowledged that once
       he didn't act appropriately- church to bear with him. Philip
       SMITH chosen as deacon. Received by letter Jessie HULL and
       wife Rebecca and M J HULL.
May Scott's case continued
Jun  Scott's case continued. Charge aagaisnt Lucy HUDDLESTON
       for going into open Communion. * Thomas WOOD and Philip
       SMITH to see her. The following granted letters of dismission:
       William GOODSON Sr, William GOODSON Jr, Joel ELLIS,
       Lucy SIMPLE, Sally GOODSON, Frances SIMPLE, Margaret
       GOODSON, Patsy BRISTOW, Peggy ASHINHURST, Patsey
       GOODSON, Betsey GOODSON, Ann BECK, Rachel
       SMITH, Tom SALIN, Anna SAVAGE, Hettey BROUNTS,
       Peggey SMITH, Jonathan SMITH, Elizabeth ROSE - to form
       a new church. John CROUCH, Isaac DENTON, William
       WOOD and William GRIMSLEY appt Association delegates.
Jul  Samuel SCOTT admonished and told to be more cautious in
      in the future. Lucy HUDDLESTON excluded. Elijah HOPKINS      
      and wife, Dennis HOPKINS and wife, Rebecca ELLIS, Robert
      SMITH, Washington HOPKINS, Jacob HOLSAPPLE and
      wife, Anna LEE and Jean SMITH granted letters of dismission.
      Agreed that any brother or sister having a claim of debt 
      against another shall by the laws of liberty use the regular
      methods prescribed by the law of the country to recover the
      same. James WEBB appt to visit Vardiman LEE and request
      him to come to the next meeting; Thomas WOOD to visit
      Joseph SMITH same.
Aug Waiting on Bro Vardiman LEE until next meeting. James
       KENNEDY and wife granted letters of dismission. Samuel
       SCOTT reported to be conducting himself imprudently at
       the house of W GAINES - Jessie SMITH & Wm THRASHER
       to see him. Letter of dismission granted Sarah LACKEY.
       Wm CROSS to have a written license to preach.
Sep Samuel SCOTT appeared - no understandable resolution.
       LEE's case continued. William CROSS to site Walter
       BROWN to come to next meeting to answer charges.
       Joseph SMITH and Philip SMITH to attend at Joshua STORIES
       to investigate rumor re Sister BRATCHER. 
Oct Walter BROWN excluded. Sister BRATCHER's case dropped.
       Vardiman LEE excluded. Elijah CROUCh to be visited re
       charge. Permission to sue others for debt dropped - not allowable
       Jean POAG, Polly HULL, Patsey HULL and Moses HULL
       granted letters of dismission.
Nov Crouch's case laid over. Mary MARLOW recvd letter of dismission.
Dec Elijah CROUCH excluded - re defrauding creditors. Josiah
       BECKET and wife, Annie DEAVER, Sabine BECKET, Thomas
       BECKETT, Betsey BECKET, Mary CROUCH, Ailsey
       CROUCH granted letters of dismission.


Additional Comments:
*On Communion. Some Baptist churches allow only those to take communion who
are members of that church. Some restrict it to members of other Baptist
churches of like teaching. She had obviously gone to another denomination
that allowed "open communion" for anyone to partake.
