JARRETT JACKSON - Freedom of Slaves

Note:  This is a partial item

Know all men by these presents that I JARRETT JACKSON of the County of
Cumberland and State of Kentucky being operated on by the principals of
Hulan? Tharpy and Kindness and from valueth laborious past Services
rendered for the last the years towards my wife while on her Sick bed
during that time by my Negro woman LIZZA I do hereby Manumet and Set
free from Slavery the Said LIZZA and her only child HENRY from this date
Said LIZZA  was born March 15th 1830 and HENRY on the 23rd March 1848
the woman LIZZA is of a dark Coper Colour and five feet one & one half
inches high the boy HENRY is a dark Mulatto.  Given under my hand and
Seal this 1st day of June 1850.  JARRETT JACKSON

in and for Said County do Certify that the foregoing deed of
Emancipation from JARRETT JACKSON To LIZZA and HENRY was produced in
Open Court at the August term 1850 of Said County and Acknowledged by
the Said JACKSON to be his Act and deed for the purposes...
