Joseph Wayne Flowers, 36, of Grant, Tennessee, formerly of Cumberland
County, passed away Monday, October 6, 2003 as a result of an automobile
accident.  He was born June 24, 1967, in Cumberland County, the son of 
Junior Flowers and Shelby Jean Cross Flowers.  He was an employee, for
the past five years, of William I. Bonnell Treadegar Corporation in 
Gordonsville, Tennessee and on July 3, 1999 he was married to Vivian Gay.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marlena Jean Flowers.

Survivors include his father, Junior Flowers of Burkesville, his mother, 
Shelby Jean Cross Flowers of New Castle, Indiana, his wife, Vivian
Flowers of Grant, Tennessee, daughter, Samantha Flowers of Cookesville,
Tennessee, step children, Misty Finley, David "Bear" Vealey, Rubin Vealey,
all of Grant Tennessee, a brother, Frank and his wife Rose Flowers of 
Burkesville, a sister, Mildred and her husband Tom Brown of Burkesville, 
two step grandchildren, Autumn Finley and Christopher Finley.

Services were held Thursday, October 9, 2003 at the Carthage Chapel of
Bass Funeral Homes in Carthage, Tennessee with Bro. Ralph Wade officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery in the Tuckers Crossroads Community
of Tuckers Crossroads, Tennessee.

Bass Funeral Home of Gordonsville, Carthage and Alexandria, Tennessee
was in charge of the arrangements.
