"We learned yesterday of a sad death which occured near Marrow Bone on Saturday night last. Pembrook Rowe, the son of Mr. James T. Rowe, a highly respectable citizen of Crocus Creek in Cumberland county, came over to Glasgow, on Friday, to sell a fast trotting horse and remained here until Saturday morning, and started for home. Nothing was heard of him until Sunday morning when he was found frozen to death on the roadside. His father is represented to us as being one of the most substantial men of Cumberland, and young Rowe as being a very energetic, clever young man. His remains were carried to his home for interment." Glasgow (KY) Weekly TImes, 14 Jan 1875.
