D, page 184-5, 1841 Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Zandra Pearson - zpearson@juno.com John GARMON'S Widow's In margin of page: "filed under head of Settlements Divisions & Allottment of Dower" We, William Davis, John Davis and George P Turner appointed by the Court to lay off to Catharine GARMON, relict of John GARMON deceased, her dower in the lands of which he died possessed proceeded on the 26th of November 1841 to lay off said dower in the manner following to wit, Beginning at a large black walnut on the sides of the big road and corner between said dower and John HURT, thence with the road to the head of a lane which divides what is known by the Hill Place and the other lands of said GARMON, thence with the fence eastwardly of the Hill Place to the branch thence up the meanders of same known by the name of the Bauvir (sp?) Branch so far as said dec'd owned and so round with his lines to the beginning; including all the lands in the said boundary being all the lands on the north side of the road to the Bovir (sp?) Branch, also eight hundred and 64 dollars & 36 cents being her portion of the personal estate of sd. dec'd. Wm Davis John Davis George P Turner Kentucky Cumberland County Sct. I, John Q Adams King, a deputy clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the within allottment of Dower to Charine (sic) GARMAN widow of John GARMON dec'd was produced in open court at the December Term 1841 and was examined approved off (sic) and ordered to record and the same is truly recorded in my said office in Will Book D at page 184. Witness my hand this 30th day of December 1841.
