She was born and died in Daviess County, KY. Her father began his career as a farmer and then became a tobacco leaf dealer. He built Moorman House, also know as Weatherby, in Owensboro. Frances married William Thomas Owen, son of Capt, Thomas Grant Owen and Lucretia Venable Moorman about 1879. They had one known son, William Thomas Owen, who married Emily Eva Mulhern. Fannie was blind for most of her life, and died in Owensboro in 1904 of typhoid fever. Her spouse died four years later, and they are both buried in Rosehill Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Obituary: MRS. W. T. OWEN died at her home on the 4th at her home in OWENSBORO of typhoid fever. She was the daughter of ROBERT MOORMAN of BRECKINRIDGE CO. and had been blind since the age of eight. She married JUDGE W. T. OWEN in 1879 and they had a son W. T. OWEN jr.
