Anna Laura Phillips Addington, 80, of Owensboro 
died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. 
She was a Centertown native 
She worked at G.E. in Owensboro
She was a Sunday school teacher for many years
She was a charter member of Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro. 
She enjoyed traveling and reading 
She loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conway Addington in 1989. 
Survivors include:
a son, Phillip Addington of Kingston, Tennessee 
a daughter, Leta Addington Porter of Owensboro 
a brother, Clarence "Doc" Phillips 
a sister, Mattie Belle Boyd of Hartford 
four grandchildren
two great-grandchildren
several nieces and nephews. 
Services: Sunday at Duke-Bevil Bros. 
Funeral Home in Centertown
burial in Walton Creek Cemetery near Centertown.
