Tampa, Fl., Hillsborough County, Monday, October 29, 2007.
Lorena Baker Gough, 106 of Tampa, Fl. passed away peacefully in Her sleep 
October 26, 2007. Preceded in death by Her Husband, Alonzo Clark Gough and their
three Sons, Alonzo Clark Gough, Jr., Col. Robert B. Gough, Sr. and Allen Gough, 
Sr. Survivors: Her Brother, Levi Baker; Her Daughters-in-Law, Marjorie Gough 
and Irene Gough; 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, 27 Great-Great Grand-
children and one Great-Great-Great-Grandchild! Lorena was born March 15, 1901
in Owensboro, Kentucky to Cora Gabbert and Levi Baker. At the early age of 18, 
She married Alonzo Clark Gough. Lorena and Alonzo moved to Tampa in 1926 as part
of the "Tin Can Tourists," living in a tent for almost a year before they could
afford their first house. Together,Lorena and Alonzo celebrated 49 years of 
marriage before Alonzo passed away in 1969. Afterwards, She lived on Her own, 
but always kept Her family close to Her heart. She was a teacher, real estate
broker, a Sunday School Teacher at Northgate Baptist Church and a Volunteer at
University Community Hospital for many years. She remained active living on Her 
own until the age of 99. She even drove Herself from Tampa to Michigan at the 
age of 93 to visit Family. Visitation 6-8pm. Monday, October 29, 2007 at Garden
of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Fl. 33610. Funeral 
services 10am. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
