Death of John PHELON Uncle John PHELON, a well know citizen of Cloverport, died at his home the FREEMAN place, after a long and severe sickness, borne with fortitude and resignation. He was a member of a promient Kentucky family, and otherwise highly connected. Domestic troubles of a sad, severe nature assailing him in early life he fell into a habit which ruined his after years. Few understood or appreciated him; those who, did found him a sincere and moral friend. Loving nieces and nephews, visted and provided him with every attention during hsi sickness. He passed away on Friday October 14, to join his Maker in whom he trusted. One who Knew him ( Owensboro papers please copy) 2n obit: John M. PHELON, Sr., died Friday at 8 o'clock at Cloverport with Bright's disease. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon. Mr. Phelon had several relatives in Owensboro among whom were Mr. & Mrs. John F. JARBOE and Mrs. N.D. FISHER, who attended the funeral and returned home on the 9.05 Texas Train last night.
