Captain George Little of Owensboro Kentucky, in the battle in South Carolina, 
came from Scotland with his wife Mary.  After she passed away, he married his 
son's mother in law, Mary Handley Douglass who was also widowed and from 
Scotland. Both had grown children who were married.  Mary Handley's sister, 
Rachel, married Anthony Thompson.

Additional Comments:
note that George Little has no middle initial and should not be confused with 
others.
