Bumpas, 1921, Daviess Co. Middlesboro Daily News, Middlesboro, KY April 5, 1921 One of Morgan's Men Found Dead in Bed By Associated Press Owensboro, Ky., April 5 -- W.N. Bumpas, 77 years old, one of the most prominent citizens of Owensboro, was found dead in bed this morning. Mr. Bumpus was a Confederate veteran in the war between the states and rode with General John Morgan, all of whose men were noted for their valor and daring.
