Hull "JohnTHull@aol.com" Following is the Will of Abraham Myers that was filed in Daviess Co., KY, 1825: I Abraham Myers of the County of Daviess and State of Kentucky being in a weak state of health but of disposing mind and memory (thanks be to god for the same) do make and establish this my last will and testament in manner and form following Viz. I in the first place after my death appoint George Calhoun Senior John May Senr and Joseph May to appraise my property. After the Appraisement I give and bequeath to Sarah Wilkinson's oldest son Michael One Dollar, to John her second son One dollar, to her third son Levi I leave two hundred dollars deducting from that sum what the said Levi is owing me. I in the next place give to Betsy Brown One dollar, to Nancy Kimberlin I give fifty dollars, to Polly, Sarah Wilkinson's third daughter, I give a certain negro girl named Betty, a bay filly and two cows, to Sarah Daviss I give fifty dollars in Cattle taken at the appraisement of the above named appraisers, to James, Sarah Wilkinson's fifth son I give One dollar, to Patsey Myers my wife I leave two hundred dollars in property taken at the appraisement, Viz. her bed furniture and a horse - known by the name of Bob, cattle at the valuation Such as she may choose, some Cupboard ware & to Jacob, Sarah Wilkinson's fourth son, I give all the balance of my property not disposed of both debts and property of every description. N.B. The said Levi and Nancy Kimberlin above mentioned are to take property at the Valuation for what I have left them. Also the whole is to be valued in Commonwealth paper. I hereby appoint the above named Levi and Jacob executors to my estate this 5th day of February 1825. Teste David Glenn Abraham Myers John Galloway William Galloway At a County Court began and held for the County of Daviess in the State of Kentucky at the Courthouse in Owensborough on Monday the 14th day of March 1825 this writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Abraham Myers deceased was exhibited in Court and duly proved to be the act and deed of the said testator of by the oaths of David Glenn and William Galloway subscribing witnesses thereto and thereupon the same was ordered to be recorded and leave granted the executors therein named to qualify hereafter. And at a County Court began and held for the County aforesaid on Monday the 9th day of May 1825 Levi and Jacob Myers the executors therein named came into Court and made oath to (administer) the said Will agreeably to law and executed and acknowledged a bond to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the penalty of four thousand dollars conditioned agreeably to law with William Wornall and Benjamin Harris their security and a certificate granting a probate thereof on deed form was granted the said executors and thereupon the said will is duly recorded in said Court.
