Additional Comments: According to our friend Norm Warnell and co-author C P Cawthorn in "Pioneer Baptist Church Records of South Central Kentucky and the Upper Cumberland of Tennessee, 1799-1899 (c) 1965, there had been a Baptist church in northern Warren Co on the Beaver Dam Creek at Rhoda. Beaver Dam Baptist Church is cited in the minutes of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Barren Co. Jacob LOCKE might have been the first pastor. Sometime after 1811 John CONLEE was pastor- he continued until 1815 and moved to MO. From 1815 to June 1817 Augustine CLAYTON was the pastor, he was replaced by William ROWNTREE. The original minute book is now located in the Kentucky Building in Bowling Green KY. The minutes which will be shown here (names) covers 1815-1847.
