John B BLAIR excluded. No date - John LINDSEY and wife Sallie granted letters of recommendation in lieu of a letter. Sallie joined but John was recommended as a deacon by the Holley Spring Church but John declined. To be continued. Note: there were three churches in Edmonson Co named Holly Springs. The 1st was organized in Jan 1803 by Jacob Locke - also known as Bee Springs. The other 2 churches were not organized until later per Cawthorn and Warnell. Apr - Bro GREATHOUSE moderator. By request of Elijah JONES, Joseph CAMP appeared and gave satisfaction for his long absence. Then church received John LINDSEY to the fellowship of this church. May - Augustine CLAYTON in charge; funds to be raised by the members to enclose the burying ground at the church. June - Orson FLOWERS moderator. John ROWNTREE, Augustine CLAYTON & Richard RAY to be the messengers to next Green River Association Meeting. Green COLLIER and Nancy COLLIER his wife granted letter of dismission. July - Bro HERINGTON moderator. John ROWNTREE read the letter from the church to the Association. Aug - Ordered that John ROWNTREE and John LINDSEY settle with the treasurer for the subscriptions raised. Those contributing were: John ROWNTREE ($1.00), David CUTLIP (50 cents - he the clerk), John LINDSEY (50 cents), Jesse JONES (75 cents), Asle DAVIS (75 cents), David MAXWELL ($1.00), Andrew RAY (25 cents), John SLEMMONS (25 cents) and John HERRINGTON (25 cents). Book to be purchased to record this. Sept - Orson FLOWERS moderator. Ruth HOWINGTON granted letter of dismission. Samuel GREATHOUSE had publically stated that Augustine CLAYTON is a liar. Elijah JONES and Richard RAY to request Bays Fork Church to send Greathouse to their Oct meeting to prove his statements.. Oct - John CHASTEEN moderator. Discussion of last month's charges; Greathouse came but refused to make a charge against Clayton. Church thanks Bays Fork for sending him - matter stricken. John ROWNTREE, Richard RAY, Elijah JONES, William GARDNER and David CUTLIP to attend at Grove Church to assist them. Nov - Augustine CLAYTON moderator. He and Richard RAY to go to Bays Fork Chruch on the 22nd and answer questions. Augustine to be given a letter of recommendation from Concord Church and his letter of dismission from this church to be file. Letter shown, recommended him; mentioned his wife Caty.
