The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** This indenture made and entered into this twenty third day of November Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Seven between Martin H WEBB of the County of Edmonson and State of Kentucky of the first part and John W WEBB of the County and State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the party of the first part has for and in consideration of the sum of ten barrels of corn per year annually during his natural life or the value thereof & one dollar in cash sold a tract of land the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged & the said tract of land being purchased by MH WEBB of Franklin Y MORE & J MORE of V H JONES & J JONES of Asel HOUCHIN &c and conveyed by V H JONES to the said Martin H WEBB said party of the first part hereby bargains sells and conveys to the party of the second part the above land situated in Edmonson County, KY on Nolin River and bounded as follows: beginning at the mouth of a Spring Branch on two Sycamores running thence S51E69 poles to Sycamore and Box Elder thence N22E61 poles to a Sweet Gum & Beech thence N29W34 poles to a Beech Hornbeam & Spanish Oak thence S83W46 poles to an Oak thence N55W20 poles to a stake thence N5W46 poles to a Beech thence S53W24 poles to a Hickory & Ironwood thence S16W22 poles to a Chestnut thence S8W26 poles to a Beech thence S29W30 poles to two Hoop Ashes & Hornbeam thence S50E66 poles to 2 Sycamores at the mouth of a spring branch thence down Nolin with its meanders to the beginning containing by survey 76 acres be the same more or less to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances thereunto belonging to the party of the second part and his heirs forever from the claim of the party of the first part his heirs or any person claiming by through or under him but warranties no further to said party of the second part his heirs &c.
