The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** This indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of August 1825 between Squire GILBERT of the County of Hart State of Kentucky of the one part and Martin H WEBB of the County of Edmonson and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Squire GILBERT for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to him, the said GILBERT in hand paid before the sealing and delivering of these presents have granted, bargained and sold unto the said M H WEBB &c his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing fifteen acres and bounded as follows to wit: beginning at a Sugar Tree and bush on the west side of the Waggon Road and Thomas JONES' corner running thence west 33 poles to a Dogwood and Beech thence north 100 poles to a White Oak thence S44E28 poles to the beginning to have and to hold the aforesaid land and promises, I, the said Squire GILBERT do warrant and defend the said land and promises from myself my heirs and assigns any and all persons whatever from the Sd. Martin H WEBB and his heirs or assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written in presence of: Teste: Squire GILBERT {seal} Carter HARRISON Henry HARRISON Eli T GILBERT Edmonson County I, Henry Dixon as Clerk of the County Court of Edmonson do certify that the foregoing indenture from Squire GILBERT to Martin H WEBB was this day exhibited to me in my office for records and was acknowledged by the aforesaid Squire GILBERT to be his act and deed for purposes therein named and that I have recorded said indenture together with this certificate as required by Law.
