Meredith, aged citizen of Rhoda, escaped serious injury Wednesday afternoon when he was knocked down by a car which was not stopped by the driver at the scene of the accident, but was later abandoned at the top of "Rabbit Point". According to witnesses three young men were in the car whose identities have not yet been definitely established. When informed of the accident and also that the car had been abandoned by the occupants, Deputy Sheriff George Reed went to the scene and guarded the car until it was learned that the machine was the property of Gilbert Webb, who was then in school at Kyrock. It was also learned that the car was driven to Brownsville by Lonnard Webb brother of Gilbert and a warrant was issued for him. Lonard gave $500 bond for his appearance before Judge Houchin's court. The accident occurred at the intersection of the Rocky Hill and Chalybeate roads, and it is said that the car brushed against Mr. Meredith causing him to fall with much force. He suffered cuts and bruises on the head, but was not believed to be seriously hurt File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ky/edmonson/newspapers/gnw321agedmani.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
