The wives were sisters. Tom Lee was a well-known cave guide in the 1880's. His signature is found in Mammoth and several of the smaller caves - usually T.E. Lee with triangles drawn on the capital letters. Dan and his wife, Madie, converted this house into "Homelike Inn" in the late 1920's.
