Charles "Darb" Deweese, 72, of Brownsville, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. A native of Edmonson County, he was a plant superintendent at Elizabethtown Paving Co. and an Army veteral of the Korean War. He was a member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, a moderator of Edmonson Association fo Missionary Baptist Church Church for 21 years and a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Myrtle Conway Deweese. Survivors include his wife, Jean Deweese; two sons, Eric Deweese and Lannie Deweese, both of Brownsville; a daughter, regina Prewitt of Brownsville; two brothers, Cleo Deweese of Elizabethtown and Willie Floyd Deweese of Brownsville; a sister, Lucille Madison of Lousiville, eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Central time today at Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Rayburn Parker officiating. Burial will be in Sweeden Cemetery in Sweeden. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. to noon Central time today at Patton Funeral Home's Brownsville Chapel.
