Dear Sir and Brother
I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know how we all are getting a longe  we are 
all well except Susan and she is som better  Mending slow  I hear you are getting along fine for 
which I am afful proud  now Jim I want you to stay there untill you are plum safe to come Home  
we was taulking about you coming back to Dr. Rabens  I Dont think that will Do as He

may halft to bee gon  Just at the time you mite neede him and the Doctor at louisvill is Better 
Prepard to treete you that Dr Rabens  I had a taulk with Dr Hunter and he says for you to stay 
untill you are well  now Jim Don’t you trouble about you work at home for I tell you lafe (his 
son) and the childern is keeping up the work all ok  thay are all well and it work like white 
heads so Don’t truble   you have Done the Best thing for you self and the lord will Provide the 
way for all of us that Dos His will
