Coldirons in Elliott County

There haven't been many
Coldirons in Elliott (at least in my database), but the following is what I
have.  I'm going to add some information beyond the vital statistic which
might allow someone to better place the person in a family.

1.  Juanita Coldiron, b. 18 Oct 1917, Elliott Co., KY, Vol 100, Cert. 49752.
 Juanita is the daughter of James Golden Coldiron and Florence Maxie Dorton.

2.  Jaily Nevada Hay, b. 31 May 1893, Elliott Co., KY.  She was daughter of
John Hay and Nancy Brickey.  Jaily married Dockie B. Ison, the son of Reuben
H. Ison and Mary Alice Coldiron.

3.  Rebecca Jane McCarty, b. 1841, Elliott Co., KY.  She married Hiram Lewis
Coldiron 9 Dec 1858, Johnson Co., KY.

4.  Eliza Miller, b. 10 Feb 1898, Elliott Co., KY.  She died 16 Oct 1987,
Morehead, Rowan Co., KY.  Buried in Brown Cemetery, Morehead.  Eliza married
Samuel Howard Coldiron, 1915.  Samuel was son of Adron H. Coldiron and
Rosella Rose Markwell.

5.  Mary Alice Coldiron, b. 6 Jun 1866, Sandy Hook, Elliott Co., KY, the
daughter of Hiram Lewis Coldiron and Rebecca Jane McCarty.  Mary Alice died
16 Sep 1964, Blain, Lawrence Co., KY.  Buried in the Doc Ison Cemetery,
Moon, Morgan Co., KY.  Mary Alice married Reuben H. Ison 3 Mar 1883.  Reuben
was son of Dock Ison and Teresy Hamilton.

6.  William Lewis Coldiron, (brother to Mary Alice above) b. 5 Aug 1868,
Sandy Hook, Elliott Co., KY, the son of Hiram Lewis Coldiron and Rebecca
Jane McCarty.  William married Mary Amanda Ferguson on 20 Aug 1885, Relief,
Morgan Co., KY.  Mary was daughter of James Monroe Ferguson Jr. and
Elizabeth Jane Brown.  William died 19 Jul 1961 in Greenfield Hospital,
Greenfield, Highland Co., OH.  He is buried in Harwood Cemetery, Pricetown,
Highland Co., OH.

I don't know if this is the kind of information you're looking for or not,
but thought I'd send it and you may use it as you wish.

I have a database of almost 8,000 Coldiron descendants, but not much
activity in Elliott Co.
