Jack Powell, 84, of Morehead, Rowan Co, KY, born July 11, 1914 in
Louisville, Jefferson Co, KY, son of the late John Thomas and Hessie
Powell, died May 23, 1999 in Morehead.  Preceded:  dau, Jacqueline “Jackie”
Hardin in 1990, step-son, Charles Robert “Bobby” Jones in 1988.  Survived:
wife, Mary Wood Jones Powell, 4 gc, 8 g-gc.  Burial: May 26, 1999 in the
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Morehead, Rowan Co, KY.

James E. Walker, 46, of Oak Hill, OH, formerly of Olive Hill, Carter Co,
KY, born Sept 30, 1952 in Olive Hill, son of Ora Walker and Carrier Walker
Mobley, died May 23, 1999 at his home.  Survived: wife, Sherry Darby
Walker, sons, James B. Walker and Joshua Walker, brothers, Kenneth Walker,
Bill Walker and Lee Walker, step-brothers, Hugh Wlaker and robert Walker,
sisters, Ernestine Montgomery, Gay Jones and Dianna Stegall, step-sisters,
Star Smith and Nancy Brooks.  Burial: May 25, 1999 in the Centerpoint
Cemetery.

Kelly McClure Wright, 79, of Morehead, Rowan Co, KY, formerly of
Silverhill, Morgan Co, KY, born Dec 18, 1919 in Silverhill, son of the late
Samuel and Mary Jane Hill Wright, died may 27, 1999 in Lexington, Fayette
Co, KY.  Preceded: wife, Dorothy Ward Wright in 1998, brothers, William
Wright, Auty Talbot Wright, McCoy Wright and Houston Wright, sisters, Dicy
Wright, Angie Wright, Grace Wright, Florence Wright and Stella Fyffe,
granddaughter, Kimberly Jean Wright.  Survived: son, Gary Wright, brother,
Donaldson Wright, several nieces and nephews.  Burial: May 30, 1999 in the
Samuel Wright Cemetery, near West Liberty, Morgan Co, KY.

John Spence, 68, of Louisa, Lawrence Co, KY, born Mar 19, 1931 at Milo, son
of the late Walter and Renda Bowen Spence, died May 26, 1999 in Louisa. 
Preceded: wife, Pauline Spence in 1997. Survived: dau, Johnda Webb, sons,
James Paul Spence and John Allen Spence, sister, Emma Jean Copeland,
brother, Walter Bailey Spence, 4 gc. Burial: May 28, 1999 in the Casey
Cemetery, Fallsburg.

Nora Thompson, 90, of Louisa, Lawrence Co, KY, born Mar 2, 1909 at Little
Blaine, dau of the late Lonzo and Vian Jordan Estep, died May 24, 1999 at
Louisa.  Preceded: husband, Hershel Thompson in 1994.  Survived: daus,
Betty Wellman, Patty Gussler, Ruth Ross and Dolores Globe, sons, L. C.
Thompson, Bob Thompson and Maxwell Thompson, 27 gc, several g-gc, several
g-g-gc.  Burial: May 27, 1999 in the Thompson Cemetery, Louisa, KY.

Darla Wright, 43, of Louisa, Lawrence Co, KY, born Mar 16, 1956 at
Henderson, dau of Carrol Lockridge and Betty Sights Payne, died May 26,
1999 in Louisa.  Survived: dau, Ashontae Kiasha Wright, sons, William
Jamall Wright and Dontae Lamont Wright, brother, Jimmie Carrol Lockridge,
step-father, David Payne, step-mother, Sally Lockridge.  Burial: May 30,
1999 in the Yatesville Memorial Cemetery, Louisa, KY.

Bessie Alice Diamond, of Marietta, GA, formerly of Louisa, Lawrence Co, KY,
born Dec 14, 1913, died May 26, 1999 at her home.  Survived: dau, Marie D.
Hargis, Burial: June 1, 1999 in the Yatesville Memorial Cemetery, Louisa,
KY.
Bernice Marie Boggs, 70, of Canton, OH, formerly of Olive Hill, Carter Co,
KY, born Aug 20, 1928 in Olive Hill, dau of the late Lawrence and Margaret
Davis, died May 26, 1999 at her home.  Preceded: husband, Orie Boggs, son,
Robert Davis.  Survived: son, Donald Boggs and Ronald Boggs, 3 gc.  Burial:
May 30, 1999 in the Tick Ridge Cemetery, Carter Co, KY.

William “Bill” Glen Ticknor, 58, of Grayson, Carter Co, KY, born May 21,
1941 in Maywood, CA, son of Glen F. Ticknor and the late Barbara Mae
Strittmatter Ticknor, died May 25, 1999 in Cisco, UT following a boating
accident.  Survived: wife, Karen Sue “Susie” Burnett Ticknor, daus, Betsy
Caines and Katie Mae Ticknor, son, Mike Ticknor, brother, Donald Ticknor. 
Burial:  June 1, 1999 in the Grayson Memorial Park, Grayson, KY.

Charles Kenneth Wells, 53, of Blaine, Lawrence Co, KY, born July 16, 1945
at Winnie, AR, son of the late Charles and Lucille Davis Wells, died May
27, 1999 at his home.  Survived: wife, Cheryl Wells, daus, Tina Wells and
Salina West, son, Brian Wells, sister, Barb Rutherford, brothers, Swayne
(yes, Swayne) Wells, Rudy Wells, James Wells, Floyde (yes, Floyde) Wells,
Ronnie Wells, Larry Wells and Gary Wells, 4 gc.  Burial: no information
given, Wilson Funeral Home of Louisa. Lawrence Co, KY in charge.

Barbara Caskey Riddle, 58, of Morehead, Rowan Co, KY, born May 3, 1941 in
Rowan Co, KY, dau of the late Emmitt and Opal Little Caskey, died May 29,
1999 at her home.  Survived: husband, Linville Riddle, sons, Randy Riddle
and Brian Riddle, dau, Robin Schneider, brothers, Bobby Caskey, Emmitt
Caskey Jr., Harry Caskey, Paul Caskey, Richard Caskey, Victor Caskey, Jimmy
Caskey, sisters, Mollie Walters, Gertrude Fiscarelli and Pam Workman, 8 gc.
 Burial: May 31, 1999 in the Riddle Cemetery.

Paul Daniel “Dan” Meade, 66, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Louisa, Lawrence
Co, KY, born June 11, 1932 at Patrick, son of Earl Meade and the late
Flossie Miller Meade, died May 29, 1999 at Columbus, OH.  Survived: daus,
Kathy Quinn, Tammy Lemaster and Amy Staley, sisters, Lorene Abstin and
Juanita Branham, brothers, Gene Meade, Loyal “Tip” Meade and Lloyd Meade, 4
gc, 3 step-gc, 1 g-gc, 4 step-g-gc.  Burial: May 31, 1999 in the Meade
Cemetery, Patrick KY.
