late John A. and Martha Smith Savage, died July 29, 1994 at his home.  Survived: wife, Marie 
Hicks Savage.  Burial: Aug 1, 1994 in the Palmer Cemetery, Flatwoods, KY.

George Roe, 83, of Dry Branch, born Oct 16, 1910 in Elliott Co, KY, son of the late James and 
Lilly Leadingham Roe, died Aug 6, 1994 in Morehead, Rowan Co, KY.  Survived: sisters, Ruth Conn, 
Nola Henderson and Martha Carter, brothers, Jessee Roe and David Roe.  Burial: Aug 8, 1994 in the 
Roe Cemetery, Elliottville, Rowan Co, KY.

Dr. Wendell V. Lyon, 75, of Fort Myers, FL and Lexington, Fayette Co, KY, formerly of Ashland, 
Boyd Co, KY, born Aug 29, 1918 in Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY, son of the late Addie M. and Eva 
Vencill Lyon, died Aug 5, 1994 in the Scott County General Hospital in Georgetown.  Survived: 
wife, Dorothy G. Lyon, sons, Wendell Lyon II, Larry Lyon and Lewis E. Lyon, dau, Kathy Lyon,

Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds Parson, 85, of Morhead, Rowan Co, KY, born Dec 6, 1908 in Carter Co, 
KY, dau of the late Charlie and Amanda McFarlan Reynolds, died Aug 7, 1994 in Morehead.

in-laws, John and Jean Shaffer Slone following a long illness.  Survived: husband, Jeff Slone,

the late James and Pricie Justice Endicott, died Aug 5, 1994 at the home of her dau, Maggie Slone 
in Louisa.  Preceded: husband, Jim Burke in 1886.  Survived: son, Ben Burke, half-sister, Leona

Louise Hay Wheeler, 89, of Louisa, Lawrence Co, KY, born Oct 10, 1994 at Mazie, Lawrence Co, KY, 
dau of the late William Asa and Sally Fannin Hay, died Aug 4, 1994 at the home of a grandson in 
Louisa.  Preceded: husband, Jake Wheeler in 1990.  Survived: sister, Carrie Evans, 7 additional
