James L. Pennington, 102, of Ashland, Boyd Co, KY, born Oct 11, 1890 in Elliott Co, 
KY, son of the late James L. and Amanda Greenwood Pennington, died Feb 7, 1993 at 
his home.  Preceded:  wife, Anna Shilling Pennington in 1992.  Survived:  son, Harry S. 
Pennington, dau, Glada Smith, 5 gc, 7 g-gc.  Burial:  Feb 10, 1993 in the Ashland 
cemetery.

Dixie Pennington, 52, of Brown Ridge, Elliott Co, KY, born July 1, 1940 in Elliott Co, 
KY, dau of Myrl Holbrook Stafford and the late Ernest Stafford, died Feb 6, 1993 at the 
home of her mother (Rt. 1, Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY).  Preceded:  husband, Atlee 
Arlin "Buster" Pennington.  Survived:  dau, Barbara Pennington, son, Atlee Pennington, 
sisters, Lucille Stephens, Dolly Burton, Shirley Howard, Helen Crum, Lola Hampton and 
Paula Whitt.  Burial:  Feb 8, 1993 in the Pennington family cemetery.

Ola Stevens, 77, of Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY, born Oct 15, 1915 in Elliott Co, son of 
the late John Stevens and Ressie Hill Stevens McClintic, died Feb 8, 1993 in Hazard, 
KY.  Preceded:  brothers, Joe Stevens and William Stevens, grandson, Kevin Markwell.  
Survived:  dau, Diane Stevens Markwell, brothers, Elmer Stevens and Cecil Stevens, 
sisters, Mary Eldridge, Eva Mollison and Thelma Robinson, grandson, Curtis Markwell.  
Burial:  Feb 10, 1993 in the Elliott County Memory Gardens, Sandy Hook, KY.

Iva Lee Green, 91, of Mt. Vernon, OH, born Jan 16, 1902 in Elliott Co, KY, dau of the 
late Gabriel and Lucinda Howerton Parsons, died Feb 9, 1993 in Circleville, OH.  
Preceded:  husband, James Curtis Green, 5 brothers, 7 sisters.  Survived:  sons, Carl 
Edward Green and Wayne Marcus Green, dau, Doris Carper, granddaus, Sandra Asercion 
and Karen Gatewood, grandsons, Curtis Green and Timothy Green, great-grandsons, Rob 
Asercion, Chad Asercion and Joshua Green, great-granddaus, Shannon Green and Tara 
Anne Green.  Burial:  Feb 12, 1993 in the Green Cemetery.
