late Mackie and Nellie Brown Leadingham, died June 13, 1999 in Morehead, Rowan Co, 
KY.  Survived: husband, Kenneth Stevens, sons, Keith Stevens and Jerry Stevens, 
brothers, Gomez Leadingham, James :Leadingham and Lloyd Leadingham, sisters, Alice 
Kegley, Glenna Evans, Sharon Frazier, Sheila Kiser, Rita Roe, Donna Owens, Alberta 
Craycraft, Vickie Mosier and Connie Lemon, 2 gc.  Burial: June 16, 1999 in the Olive 
Hill Memorial Gardens, Carter Co, KY.

James Elmo Conley, 79, of Catlettsburg, KY, born Sept 24, 1920 at Louisa, Lawrence 
Co, KY, son of the late Fred and Mary Skaggs Conley, died June 14, 1999 at his home.  
Preceded: wife, Dorothy Elswick Conley in 1997.  Survived: dau, Toni Robinette, son, 
James Lee Conley, 5 gc, 1 g-gc.  Burial: June 17, 1999 in the Ogle Cemetery, in 
Buchanan.

Cecil Curtis Medley, 90, of Rensselaer, Ind, born Jan 5, 1909 in Valencia, Kansas, son of 
the late Tom and Linda Miller Medley, died June 15, 1999 in Rensselaer.  Preceded: 
wife, Beulah Thompson, Medley on June 5, 1999, son , Cecil Junior Medley in 1994.  
Survived: dau, Glenda Robinson, son, Jim Medley, sisters, Jessie Riffe and Ruth Walsh, 
brother, Joe Medley, several gc.  Burial: June 19, 1999 in the Grayson Memorial 
Cemetery, Carter Co, KY.

Christopher “Shannon” Greer, 27, of Grayson, Carter Co, KY, born Aug 2, 1971 at 
Ashland, Boyd Co, KY, son of Earl Hugart Greer and Linda Sargent, died June 16, 1999 
in Evansville, IN.  Survived: wife, Angela Mosier Greer, daus, Savanna Nicole Greer, 
Shayla Renee Greer and Alyssa Marie Greer, step-mother, Frieda Greer, brother, Patrick 
Greer, sister, Renee Crouch, step-brothers, Robert Shropshire and Roger Shropshire, 
step-sister, Holly Callihan, paternal grandparents, Earl and Lillian Lewis Greer, maternal 
Grandmother, Sarah Hall Sargent.  Burial: June 21, 1999 in the Rogers-Messer Cemetery. 

Everett McCown, 77, of Westwood, KY, born July 7, 1921 at Morehead, Rowan Co, KY, 
son of the late George and Emma Steward McCown, died June 17, 1999 in Ashland, 
Boyd Co, KY.  Preceded: wife, Hazel Meeks McCown in 1993.  Survived: son, Michael 
McCown, dua, Linda Bledsoe, 2 gc.  Burial: June 21, 1999 in the Bellefonte Memorial 
Gardens, Flatwoods, KY.

Virginia Skeens McGuire, 87, of Fort Pierce, FL, born Jan 2, 1912 in Lawrence Co, KY, 
dau of the late Addison and Emma Skeens, died June 18, 1999.  Preceded: husband, 
Marion “Mac” McGuire.  Survived: sons, Robert Marion McGuire and David Skeens 
McGuire, sisters, Abigail Van Horn, 5 gc, 5 g-gc.  Funeral services: June 22, 1999 in Fort 
Pierce, FL.

Ola Marie Cooper Stamper, 93, of Olive Hill, Carter Co, KY, born Oct 6, 1905 at 
Rooney, dau of the late Edward and Mary Stone Cooper, died June 19, 1999 at her home.  
Preceded: husband, Dewey Stamper in 1987, son, Norman Stamper, 1 gc.  Survived: son,
