Hanson B. Horton, 90, of Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY, born Apr 10, 1910 in Elliott Co, KY, son of 
the late Charley and Laura Mabry Horton, died May 8, 2000 at his home. Preceded: Elmer Horton and 
Emory Horton. Survived: son, Charles and wife, Faye, Horton, dau, Kathy Rillman, sister, Bertah 
Gray, sister-in-law, Minta Horton, grandson, Brad and wife, Joanna, Horton, granddaughter, Teresa 
and husband, Harold Moreland. Burial: May 11, 2000 in the Elliott County Memory Gardens.

Harold C. Adkins, 71, of Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY, born May 26, 1928 in Elliott Co, son of the 
late Hixon and Sarah Elliott Adkins, died May 6, 2000 in Morehead, Rowan Co, KY. Preceded: wife, 
Mollie Glenna Jarrells Adkins in 1991, brothers, Walter Adkins and Clarence Adkins.  Survived: 
son, Charles William Adkins, daus, Patricia Ann Ratliff and Deborah Gail Whitt, 6 gc, 2 g-gc. 
Burial: May 10, 2000 in the Elliott County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Jackie Flannery, Kevin 
Flannery, Jason Whitt, Jeff Whisman, Sean Gibson, Scott Brown, Chris Jarrells and Brandon Adkins.

Wilma Jean Gillum Ison, 61, of Sandy Hook, Elliott Co, KY, born Dec 11, 1938 at Burke, Elliott 
Co, dau of Albert and Elma May Lewis Gillum, died May 5, 2000 at her home (extended illness).
Preceded: infant brother, Alford Wayne Gillum. Survived: husband, Phillip Ison, son, Phillip 
Ison, Jr., daus, Delora Gayle Queen, Delena Rue Peters and Zanetta Carol Ison, brothers, John M.

Randolph B. “R.B.” Pennington, 79, of Ashland, Boyd Co, KY, born Dec 2, 1920 in Elliott Co, KY,
son of the late John F. and Martha J. Barker Pennington, died May 6, 2000 at his home.  Preceded: 
first wife, Louise Nolan Pennington in 1991. Survived: wife, Juanita Fraley Pennington, son, 
Randall Pennington, daus, Donna Salsberry and Debra Dowdy, stepson, Ralph Johnson, brother, Ora 
Pennington, sister, Susan Church, 7 gc, 6 g-gc. Burial: May 9, 2000 in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.

Almo Martin “Pete” Rodger, 83, of Olive Hill, Carter Co, KY, born Jan 14, 1917 in Carter Co, KY,
son of the late Paul and Effie Gee Rodgers, died May 6, 2000 in Ashland, Boyd Co, KY.  Preceded: 
wife, Ella Sparks Rodgers in 1998. Survived: brother, Leroy Rodgers, many nieces and nephews.

Ruby Clarice Haney Hutchinson, 63, of Charlestown, Ind., formerly of West Liberty, Morgan Co, KY,
