Taken from the Ashland Daily Independent Mrs. Booth 98, Dies Suddenly Mrs. Mary Booth 98 died suddenly at 6:30 a.m. at the home of a son, Noble Booth of Rt. 1, Ashland with whom she resided. A native of Elliott County, Mrs. Booth was born May 5, 1864, a daughter of Barnett and Elizabeth McCarty, Porter. She had been a member of the Mount Carmel United Baptist Church for 75 years. The body is at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Francis Thomas of Marion Ohio, Mrs. Leonard Waters and Mrs. Wayne McNutt of Columbus, Ohio. Two sons, Matthew M. Booth of Dobbins, Ky. And Roy Booth of Daytona Beach, Florida. 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A native of Elliott County, Ky. Mrs. Booth was born May 5, 1863. A daughter of Barnett and TaBiatha McCarty, Porter of Brushy Fork, Elliott Co. KY. She was member of the Mt. Chapel United Baptist Church at Beetle, KY for 75 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Francis Thomas of Marion, Ohio; Mrs. Leonard (Bonnie) Waters and Mrs. Wayne (Florence) McNutt of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Nobel Booth; Matthew M. Booth of Dobbins, Ky. and Roy Booth of Daytona Beach, Florida. 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, KY was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Booth was buried in the Booth Cemetery, Dobbins, KY.
