Taken from The Elliott County News published on Friday, January 25, 1991 --------------------------------------------- Thomas Barker 1901-1991 Thomas Everett Barker, 89,of Olive Hill, died Tuesday, January 15, 1991 at his home. Mr. Barker was born March 2, 1901, in Elliott County, a son of the late Henry and Phoebe Simmons Barker. His wife Lucy Music Barker, died in 1947. He was a retired farmer and member of Newfoundland Community Church. Surviving are two sons, Tommy Barker of Bruin and Ray Barker of Olive Hill; a sister Lorraine Kegley of Morehead; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. The funeral was conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook by Rev. Lige Smith and Rev. George Stafford. Burial in the Flannery Cemetery.
