                                      Jane Parsons 1921-1995

Jane Madeline Parsons, 74 of Inez, KY formally of Sandy Hook, died Monday in Highlands
Regional Medical Center at Prestonsburg, KY.

Mrs. Parsons was born June 22, 1921 at Ashland, Ky. a daughter of the late John Melvin and
Ella Fannin Porter.  Her husband, Ellis Taylor Parsons, died in 1986.

She had worked in the Social Security Office and was a merchant.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Parsons, Castle of Paintsville; a stepson Kendall Parsons of
Fayetteville, Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Pauline Borders of Plant City, Fla. and Marge Frazier
of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one sister Betty Bullock of Kenova, W.Va. and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Church of God at Paintsville by
Matthew Boyles. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, KY.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville and one hour
before service Thursday at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of God building fund.

Mrs.. Parsons died March 4, 1995. She was the granddaughter of William C. Porter and Jane
Wheeler. William C. Porter was son of Francis Porter and Hester Jane Norvall, Porter. Jane
Wheeler was the daughter of Henry Wheeler and America "Mec" Clark, all of Elliott Co.
