Obit of Glenn Joe Simmons

Glenn Joe Simmons, 59, of Grayson, died Monday December 18, 1995, in Our Lady 
of Bellefonte Hospital.  Mr. Simmons was born Jan. 15, 1936 at Green, a son of the late James D. 
and Cora Belle Adkins Simmons.  He was a member of Plumbers and pipefitters Local 776 of Lima, 
Ohio, and First Baptist Church at Grayson.  Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Parsons Simmons; a 
son, Glenn Joe Simmons II of Sandy Hook; three daughters, Teresa Ann Adkins and Janie Lynn 
Lindon, both of Sandy Hook, and Debra Jo White of Clarksburg, WV.; three brothers Frank Simmons, 
John Estill Simmons and James "Hube" Simmons, all of Sandy Hook; six sisters, Elizabeth Green of 
Ashland, Sarah Whitt of Xenia, Ohio, Minnie Skaggs of Grayson and Dorothy Holbrook, Shirley 
Holbrook, and Jolene Lewis, all of Sandy Hook; and five grandchildren.  The funeral will be 
conducted at 1:00p.m. Thursday at Eldridge Funeral Home at Sandy Hook by Billy T. Rice, Dennis 
Brickey, and Eugene Binion.  Burial will be in the Simmons family cemetery at Newfoundland.  
Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. today and until time of the service Thursday at the funeral 
home.
