Graduation photo of Dr. Wales Scotland Brown in 1899. Dr. Brown (1869-1932) was a  
native and, as an adult, a lifelong physician in Elliott County on the "Brown" 
Ridge. He maintained a private hospital there as well. He is buried on his 
family's farm along with his wife, Sabra Emma Rose Brown. Their children were 
Emil, Opal, Atlee, Glenn (my father) and Galen Brown. I am Edgar Scotland Brown, 
the grandson of Dr. Wales Brown. I own the only remaining property section of the 
Brown Farm on Brown Ridge Road (Ky. Route 32) in Elliott County.
