Widow's Declaration for Pension filed for Margaret (Reed) Puckett. Married on
12/29/1864 in Estill Co., KY
According to declaration, Elihu died from the effects of cough as a result of
exposure while in the line of duty in 1861/1862 from which he never did recover.
Died 5/2/1879
