Kannensohn 1 1/2 mis south on Royster Rd from intersection of Royster & Briar Hill Rds.; on north side, 150 ft. from house front. Private property. Last Name First Name Middle Name Birth Death Comment -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bush William 1912 1913 Bush Grant 1893 1915 Bush Gladys L. 5/1914 12/1914 Bush Milton L. 1869 12/3/1942 Additional Comments: The house located here is named "Darnaby House." In 1838, the Darnaby farmwas comprised of 440 acres described as located "eight mis. from the Courthouse on the Lexington and Winchester Pikes." This cemetery was surveyed by the city Historic Preservation division (FA 35). The death year recorded for Grant Bush is at odds by two years from the Kentucky Death Index (vol. 31, Cert. 15451) which reports his death as 6/15/1913 at age 20. That official record comports with the 1910 Kentucky Miracode census which showed Milton, 39, living in the household of his younger brother, Edward P.Bush, 34, along with Edward's wife, Addie, 32; Grant, 17; Robert, 11; Cary, 5; Richard, 3; Elizabeth, 2, and an uncle, John M. Mitchell, 74, along with two non-relatives. The source of th emiddle initial and the month and day of Milton's death is the Kentucky Death Index.
