Stuckey cemetery in Fayette county Submitted by: Michael Bender I had to call the State Library in Columbus to get exact info on how to locate the cemetery. At Washington Courthouse follow hwy 753 south to Good Hope. Stay on 753 south approximately 2.8 miles after Good Hope. Turn left onto Ghormley road heading East. Ghormley makes a sharp bend to the right where it runs onto Lough road. At the intersection you must turn sharp left to remain on Ghormley. Travel about 1000 feet and you will see a group of trees in the field to the left or North of Ghormley. The cemetery is hidden by the group of trees and has no access road. You must hike through the field to get to it and it is in a sad state of repair. It is possible I may have more names than the state as they were collected by family members for a book that I have copies of. If you need verification, the title of the book is, "Bender - Bainter - Painter Smith and the Allied Families of Phillipson - Marino - Alioto". It was compiled by Joseph Linn Marino and is on file at the State Library of Ohio, in Columbus. Email of the genealogy section of the library is ancestor@winslo.state.oh.us Specific mention of Stuckey cemetery is on page 15 and page 22 if you wish to view copies of the book pages. Some of the Benders changed names to Bainter and others to Painter. These people are all related by birth or marriage. Names in ( ) signify maiden names.
