It appearring to the satisfaction of the court that a white male 
infant was on the morning of the 9th of April 1869 left at the house of H. 
A. Headley in this county and the said infant having been produced to the 
Fayette County Court to take charge of it. It is therefore ordered and 
adjudged that the said child shall be named Paul Ray. Whereupon he was 
christened by Rev. Mr. Shipman Rector of Christ Church Lexington 
Kentucky as Paul Ray and left in the care of the court.
