James H. Davis this day came into court. He is one of the 
children of Eliza Davis, deceased, a free woman of color; who died in this city 12 
or 14 years ago. James H. Davis was born free; is of age 22 years, 5 
feet 6 inches, hazel eyes. A certificate of freedom is granted by this 
court to James H. Davis.
