DEED: Robinson heirs to Roger Robinson, 1818 - Fayette Co, Kentucky ------------------------------------------- Contributed by: H and J Clifford "jhcliff@edtnind1.telusplanet.net" January 22, 1999 ------------------------------------------- Fayette County, Kentucky Deed Book R, pages 448, 449 Heirs of William Robinson to Roger Robinson, 10 August 1818 This Indenture made and entered into this 10th day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and eighteen, between John Robinson and Eleaner his wife William Robinson and Kitty his wife of Bourbon County and Joseph Robinson and Elizabeth his wife of Scott County of the one part and Roger Robinson of the County of Fayette of the Other part, Witnesseth, That whereas sd John, William Joseph and Roger Robinson above mentioned held a Tract of Land Jointly which they heired from their fathers Estate Containing fifty Acres and the said Roger Robinson having bought the interest of said John William and Joseph in said Tract of Land Therefore we the said John Robinson and Eleanor his wife William and Kitty his wife and Joseph and Elizabeth his wife do for and in Consideration of the sum to us paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to John and Eleanor his wife One hundred and Twenty five Dollars to William and Kitty his wife the sum of Two hundred Dollars To Joseph and Elizabeth the Sum One hundred and Ninety eight and a half Dollars hereby sell alien and Convey to the said Roger Robinson Three fourths of all that tract or parcel of Land which we heired from the Estate of our Father William Robinson Deceased situate lying and being in the County of Fayette and Commonwelath of Kentucky and Bounded as follows Towit Beginning at a black Walnut corner to Benjamin Hulet and in a line of Jacob Hughes running thence North 31 3/4 East 101 poles to a large Elm corner to said Hughes, Thence North 70 West 95 1/2 poles to a Stone Corner to James Mathers thence South 35 1/4 West 80 po 3 feet to a rotten Boxelder Stump Corner to the aforesaid Hulett Thence So 60 1/4 Est 98 po 6 feet to the Beginning To Have and to Hold Three fourths of the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land and premises from the claim or claims of ?any our heirs or assigns, and further we the said John and Eleanor his wife William and Kitty his wife and Joseph and his wife do hereby Covenant and agree with the said Roger Robinson his heirs Executors or administrators to warrant and defend the aforesaid tract of Land from us our heirs or any person or persons Claiming by or under us in any manner whatever. And we further bind ourselves our heirs and assigns in case said tract of Land shnould ever be legally taken from the said Roger Robinson to pay back the money that we have received with Interest thereon, and it is also plainly understood and respectfully agreed to by the parties that should there be more or less than Fifty Acres we have each of us sold our parts in full. Smith Clerk of said County Court, and acknowledged by John S. M. Robinson and Eleanor his wife William Robinson and Catherine his wife grantors to the within Deed to Roger Robinson to be their act and Deed, and said Eleanor and Catherine being examined by me privily and apart form their said husbands declared that they freely and Voluntarily relinquished their rights of dower to the within mentioned premises all which is certified to the Clerk of Fayette County Court there to be recorded according to Law.
