Lea Fayette County, KY Book 9, Pages 606 - 607 Edmund Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting, Know ye that by Virtue and in Consideration of part of a Land Office Treasury warrant No 9524 Issued the first day of December 1781 there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Francis W. Lea a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing four hundred and ten acres by survey bearing date the 6th day of June 1785, lying and being in the County of Fayette & bounded as follows, Beginning at two sycamores on the bank of Clear Creek corner to his other one thousand acre survey thence West four hundred and twenty six poles crossing two branches to a sugar tree thence South one hundred and fifty four poles crossing a branch to a red oak ash & cedar on a hill side thence East four hundred and twenty six poles crossing a branch and Clear Creek to a white oak and dogwood thence North one hundred and fifty four poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Francis W.
