Lea Fayette County, KY Book 9, Pages 607 Edmund Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all To whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that by Virtue and in Consideration of part of a Land Office Treasury warrant No 9524 (?) Issued the first day of December 1781 There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Francis W. Lea a Certain tract or parcel of Land Containing two hundred and twelve acres by survey bearing date the 6th day of June 1785 lying and being in the County of Fayette and bounded as followeth, to wit Beginning at the north west corner of his four hundred and ten acre survey at a sugar tree thence West two hundred and twenty poles crossing two branches to two sugar trees and grape vine thence South one hundred and fifty four poles crossing a branch to a black walnut and hackberry a small sink hole thence East two hundred and twenty poles crossing a branch to a red oak ash and Cedar on a hill side corner to said Leas four hundred and ten acre survey thence North with his line one hundred and fifty four poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Francis W. Lea and his Heirs forever In witness whereof the said Edmund Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the twenty ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight and of the Commonwealth the twelfth.
