Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to
whom these presents Shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in
consideration of part of a Land office Treasury warrant Number 3879 & issued
the 15th (?) day of March 1780 there is granted by the said Commonwealth
unto Henry Lee a certain tract or parcel of Land containing seven hundred
and fifty acres by Survey bearing date the twenty fourth day of March 1784
Lying and being in the County of Fayette on the North side of the North fork
of Licking Creek & bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at two large
beeches and small Buckeye corner to ____ ____ Assignee of John Churchills
Preemption thence North thirty six degrees West ____ hundred and sixty ____
poles to an ash & two Honey Locust ____ North fifty four degrees West two
hundred and ninety six poles to a Hickory tree Honey Locust and Sugar tree
on the ____ of the Creek thence up the Same (?) south forty two degrees East
sixty five poles South ____ degrees West Eighty six poles South seventy
degrees East one hundred & twelve poles South Eighteen degrees West sixty
two poles West sixty two poles south forty degrees East twenty eight poles
South seventy degrees East Eighty poles South Eight ____ degrees East
Seventy eight poles to two black oaks and small sugar tree another corner of
the (above mentioned ?) thence with a Line of the said ____ North fifty four
degrees East two hundred & ninety six poles to the Beginning With its
appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its
appurtenances to the said Henry Lee and his heirs forever In witness whereof
the said Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath
hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said commonwealth to
be affixed at Richmond on the Nineteenth day of July in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five (?) & of the Commonwealth the
Tenth.
