Beverley Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all to
whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know ye that be virtue & in
consideration of part of a Land Office Treasury Warrant No 8866 Issued the
12th day of November 1781 there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto
Richard Bland Lee and Edmund Lee assignees of Richard Lee, a certain tract
or parcel of land containing four thousand three hundred and forty acres by
Survey bearing date the third day of April 1786 lying and being in the
County of Fayette on the north side of main licking and bounded as followeth
To wit Beginning at the upper corner of his former Survey of eighty seven
acres a white Oak thence up said Licking and binding thereon North eighty
degrees East sixty poles South Sixty degrees East one hundred and twenty one
poles, North fifty five degrees East one hundred poles, South seventy
degrees East one hundred and forty eight poles North twenty five degrees
East one hundred and sixteen poles South fifty degrees East one hundred and
twelve poles, North thirty two degrees East sixty poles North seventy
degrees East forty poles to a Beech and Sycamore, thence South sixty two
degrees East two hundred and eighty poles to a white oak, thence North
twenty eight degrees East six hundred and fifty poles to four black ashes,
thence North sixty two degrees West nine hundred and sixty poles to two
white Oaks South twenty eight degrees West eight hundred and eighty poles to
the Beginning with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or
parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Richard Bland Lee and
Edmund Lee and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof the said Beverley
Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set
his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed
at Richmond on the twenty third day of December in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and ninety and of the Commonwealth the fifteenth.
