Born Aug. 15, 1909, in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late John Melvin and Sadie Elizabeth Price Barrick. She was a former bookkeeper for Carhartt, Inc. in Irvine. She belonged to Woodland Christian Church where she served as a bookkeeper for more than 20 years. She was the widow of C. Dewey Adams. Survivors include a daughter, Amelia E. "Cookie" Adams, of Lexington. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at W.R. Milward Mortuary, Southland, by the Rev. William B. Kincaid III. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery in Irvine. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington 40504.
