LJSC is buried in the Lexington Cemetery (KY). If anyone has a Swift connection I have lots of information. Lucia was born 26 February 1838 in Lexington, KY and died 20 March 1912. - Sherry Craig Wallace TRIBUTE TO MRS. LUCIA SWIFT CRAIG The tidings of the death of Mrs. Lucia Swift-Craig, wife of Mr. Horace G. Craig, which occurred at her home near Kansas City, MO., on the 20th, inst., brought sadness to many hearts. The departure, a number of years ago, of this lovely woman and her interesting family to make their home in the west, left a void in Lexington and Central Kentucky, which was never filled, and the high esteem in which she was held in her old home was attested by the number of friends and relatives who attended the last sad rites. Beautiful, gifted and possessed of unusual personal charm, she was greatly beloved. Unspoiled by adulation, she was a delightful companion, and an ornament to any circle. Of great executive ability, practical and domestic, a perfect wife and mother, she was a home maker in the truest sense of the word. Seven lovely daughters, three manly sons, and a devoted husband mourn her loss. "Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praiseth her." And now back from the home of her adoption to the home of her youth, dear ones have brought her to lie beside the loved ones asleep in God's Acre. Loving hands, heaped fragrant blossoms upon her grave, and a blue sky smiled in benedition, as we left her sleeping to awaken on the Resurrection Morn. "The The white-rose garland at her feet, The crown of laurel at her head; her noble life on earth complete, Lay her in the last low bed, For the slumber calm and deep; 'He giveth His beloved sleep.'"
