Gibson CASTLEWOOD -- James Walton Gibson, 58, died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at his home in Lexington, Ky., after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Russell County, the son of the late Walton and Verta Dorton Gibson. He was self-employed as was the former owner of Castlewood Farm Supply. He is survived by his wife, Jan Hensley Gibson of Lexington; two sons, Michael James Gibson of Castlewood and Brandon Kemper Gibson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandchildren, Taylor Gibson of Lebanon, Elyssa Jade Gibson of Castlewood and Tyler McFadden of Fredricksburg, Va.; and two brothers, William Gibson of Lebanon and Sam Gibson of Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at 8 p.m. in the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Greg Alderman officiating. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon. The family will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Ronnie Gilbert II, David Johnson, Jackie Gibson, Max Hawkins and W.J. Dorton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Wampler, Bob Browning, Ronnie Milton, Finus Dishman, Ted Campbell, Winston Kiser, Matthew Couch and Thomas Boyd. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
