Born in Bourbon County, the son of the late Russell Breckenridge and Effa Todd Crouch Hinkle, he was a retired office machine repairman for Frank W. Sower, Frankfort. He was a veteran of World War II. Survived by wife Mrs. Catherine Woolery Hinkle; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Kathryn Croff, Lexington; a son, Rowland Hinkle, Boynton Beach, FL; two sisters, Mrs Charles (Shirley) Klueh, Lexington; Mrs. Anna Lucille Logan, Frankfort; three brothers, Frank McClure and Maurice K. (Pete) Hinkle, Bourbon County, Charles Woodford Hinkle, Tuscon Ariz. Services 2 p.m. Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by Rev. William H. Richardson. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington. Bearers will be John Ball, Emery Price, T.C. Greis, Ed Reed, A.B. Rogers, Shirley Hager. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
