to Stanton Pollard and Elizabeth ("Bettie" or "Betty") King, who had married on 
9 February 1837 in Garrard County, Kentucky.  Samuel married Martha Ellis 
("Mattie") Ware, daughter of Henry G. Ware and Eliza Jane Thompson, in Lincoln 
County, Kentucky (on 5 February 1871 in Lincoln County, Kentucky?).  Samuel 
Middleton Pollard is buried in Section 13, Lot 49 of the Lexington Cemetery in 
Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.
